The rest of the world might be obsessed with owning the latest iPhone, but Bill Gates doesn’t seem to be one of them.
The founder of Microsoft and world’s richest man has been busy in recent years eradicating polio and working to stop global famine in some of the world’s poorest countries. So it stands to reason he might not be first in line at the Apple Store.
Gates revealed in an interview with Fox News in the US that he instead opts for an Android phone – he doesn’t say which one but does reveal that it’s got “a lot of Microsoft software” on it.
In fact, Microsoft does sell a special version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 which includes more of the company’s apps and services embedded in the device.
During his Microsoft years, Gates famously clashed with Apple on several occasions and reportedly banned iPhones and iPads from his house.
Although he labels the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs a “genius” it seems the legendary philanthropist isn’t ready to pick up his rival’s most iconic gadget just yet.
